Nice workout your miles were nice and consistant.

Thanks, Matt. I'm starting to get my endurance back and trying to figure out where to take my training this summer. I found last night that my uphill running ability definitely went down while recovering from injury - so need to work on that.

From mattrow on Wed, May 06, 2009 at 11:52:58 from 138.64.2.76

I believe you had an IT injury, If that is true. I am battling with the same injury and those musles are the ones that are used the most for up hill running. At least I feel them the most when I run fast or up hills. Good luck and hope your injury is a thing of the past.

Nice my little homie!

From Smooth on Wed, May 06, 2009 at 17:17:38 from 71.36.82.104

You'll get plenty of hills with running the Slam this summer. NICE steady run today. Glad your IT is coming along nicely.

I'm still laughing about the contractor and how impressed you were with the contractor how well he knew his stuff. I was just really hoping you were watching a hunky man put in a new stove in your kitchen....:) P.S. Was this run along the road? I had to run on a major road today (with cars and everything) I hated it.

From Maurine/Tarzan on Wed, May 06, 2009 at 18:11:31 from 63.255.172.2

Oh yeah. The Slam will be fun. I'm just glad it doesn't include Des News anymore (since I will be up helping my sister at the Spudman that weekend and I 'loved' (NOT) that marathon soooo much).

Luz - other than one block on 7th east, I take back roads to the Trax trains and there is a paved trail alongside the tracks from Sandy to Draper.

Heading home for another run and to hit the gym.

From RAD on Wed, May 06, 2009 at 22:53:13 from 67.166.99.8

hey...you've done spudman??? I decided a few months ago that in 2010 it would be my first tri!!! My friend was born in Burley and we'd go up there during Summers and hang with her grandparents...I love Burley :)

Nice job on the workout today..did you ever have time to work? I seem to barely get one dog walk in a day...but you got 2 AND 9 miles. I am impressed!!!

From Maurine/Tarzan on Wed, May 06, 2009 at 22:57:48 from 97.117.76.141

No - my sister is doing the spudman and I agreed to be her support crew (sounds like a lot of fun).

Yep - worked 8.5 hours (I don't take lunches) and am going to try and get another hour or so done before bedtime.

You have to realize that I don't have anyone who even notices what I do in life - so I am footloose and fancy free.

From Maurine/Tarzan on Wed, May 06, 2009 at 23:02:44 from 97.117.76.141

Dang it - I was reading Trail Runner in the bathtub and now I am seriously considering Sapper Joe 30K if I feel good after Ogden.

Kelli - did you see the Biggest Loser marathon? I can't stand Ron - but I was bawling like a baby when he finished the entire thing (13+ hours is incredible fortitude).

From leslie on Thu, May 07, 2009 at 00:30:19 from 76.23.61.78

You could totally do the 30K, that would be candy for you!!! Let me know if you sign up.

Nice afternoon work out!

From maurine on Thu, May 07, 2009 at 17:56:19 from 63.255.172.2

I was pretending I was Kelli! :-)

I think I can finally head home from work and start today's workout(s). Unfortunately, I might have to go back into the office later on tonight to tes something.

From Teena on Thu, May 07, 2009 at 17:59:26 from 67.177.20.13

From maurine on Thu, May 07, 2009 at 18:56:04 from 97.117.66.96

From Marion on Thu, May 07, 2009 at 22:21:43 from 71.219.54.64

Cool- are cookies involved???

I have to speak on mothers day in church. No topic. I am thinking Elaine Dalton's "Return to Virtue" from November Conference. any ideas? Any good talks you could just email me??? ;)

From maurine on Thu, May 07, 2009 at 22:44:34 from 97.117.66.96

Yes - a year's supply.

I'm no good at ideas. I hate Mother's Day at church. It only makes me feel guilty. Plus - I have very few happy memories of my mother. And - my son may show up for a 'token' visit - but that kind of makes me mad because I feel like he is only visiting out of guilt.

I remember (fondly NOT) one lovely Mother's Day when my kids were young. A brash, pompous young man (in his early 30's)started lecturing all the mothers based on a talk by Ezra Taft Benson. After about 10 minutes a bunch of us literally got up and walked out of church because it made us feel so horrible.

From Marion on Thu, May 07, 2009 at 22:59:31 from 71.219.54.64

Yikes! You can come to church with me :) I promise NO GUILT!

From mattrow on Fri, May 08, 2009 at 09:09:44 from 138.64.2.76

I'll tell you what, we can cancel Mothers day, if we can cancel Fathers day as well.
