I'm just guessing at my mileage tonight.  My son was doing a 14 mile training run, so I leap frogged him in my jeep as a portable aid station.  I would drive 2 miles ahead, run back to meet him and then back to the jeep.  I did a total of 90 minutes and was averaging about 11 minute miles according to his GPS.

Interesting experience.  The teenage turkey had a rip in the groin of his running shorts (compression type under nylon) and I sewed it up a while ago.  He forgot that he tore it out again and was having some wonderful 'chafing' with some of his body parts.  Being the nice (sucker) mother that I am, I climbed in the back of the jeep, he climbed in the front, and we traded shorts.  Left me with a nice refreshing feeling the rest of the run. :)

Um, wow!!! What a story, thanks for sharing I needed a laugh this morning. I've hired my little brother sometimes to do my portable aid station. It's nice when you have help like that.

Have a great week!

you are such a great mom! Don't tell my kids. They already have me pegged as the worst mom ever- they do not need further proof of my discompassionate soul!
