Short-Term Running Goals:

After 1/9/2010 - I am taking a year off from marathon length distances and focusing on building up my base speed on half marathons and shorter distances.

2010 Speed Goals:

  • Build up my base speed on training runs to 10 MM miles or better
  • Half Marathon - break 2:05 (9.5 MM avg)
  • 10K Goal 1 - break 1:00 (9.67 MM avg)
  • 10K Goal 2 - break 55 minutes (8.87 MM avg)
  • 5K Goal 1 - break 26.35 minutes
  • 5K Goal 2 - break 25 minutes

Long-Term Running Goals:

Long Term Goals:

  • Complete a 100 Mile race
  • Complete a 100 K race
  • Break 12 hours in a 50 mile race
  • Run all portions of the Wasatch 100 course
  • Break 5 hours in a marathon
  • Break 4.5 hours in a marathon
  • Qualify for and run Boston

3.4 miles on 7th East this morning at 75% effort. Slept a little better than the previous night.  RHR 56 - up almost 8 points from my average.   I'm looking forward to a rest day tomorrow.

Great running this week :) Are you healing as well as it seems?

Living in this state is a game of figuring out hydration. One day you need tons and the next, not so much. One day 70 the next 38. What is up? :)

Marion - the knee appears to be recovering. I am having some endurance issues - the body isn't cooperating - but exploring different options.

Work is a tad bit stressful lately :-(. That is why I am busy not working at the moment.

On the bright side - my daughter announced this week they are moving to Ft. Stewart, Georgia. That gives me two more marathons and the Peachtree Road Race to add to my plans for the next 3.5 years.

YEA for the new races!! Its so fun to go out of state for runs...especially when you've got family there too!!

Glad the knee is recovering well...the endurance will come back.

I'm sure you are seeing things, Kelli. RHR was 56 (ok - I can't type) and that is Resting Heart Rate.
