Speaking of the new picture...I love the it-it says it all! Blue is my favorite color too. Everyone seems to be doing hill training. I guess I'd better make it up the canyon this Saturday. Good work!

AWESOME hill run. Was there a lot of traffic along that road? Be careful running in the dark. GOOD JOB!!!

Nice run. Love the new picture.

awesome pic!

Nice to hear everyone likes my new pic. It's the only official one from Park City that I like.

Smooth - I left about 4:45 a.m. and was through the worst of my run be 6 a.m. - so not too much traffic. Lots more during the day. I had a headlamp that clips on my cap that I was using (at my age I am paranoid about twisting ankles in potholes).

Love the pic! :) Very cute :) Great run!

Hey, love the new picture!! (apparently so does everyone else:) ) I never like the pics they take, I always look super frumpy and wish I looked more like, , , well, a runner! But I don't! Oh well :0 YOu look GREAT!!! (very runner-ish)

From Maurine/Tarzan on Thu, Aug 27, 2009 at 21:58:27 from 97.117.63.224

Usually I hate most of mine too. However, I'd rather be a great runner like you than look good in pictures. But, I'll take the compliments I can :-)

From leslie peterson on Thu, Aug 27, 2009 at 22:18:11 from 76.23.61.78

What new picture? I still see the same one you have had for months!

From Smooth on Thu, Aug 27, 2009 at 22:31:47 from 71.36.82.218

The new pic. finally shows up on mine. How'd you get it copied? Brightroom must be smarter than me. But you're smarter than Brightroom.

Looked like you're having so much fun. And you're all color co-ordinated. That UVM shirt looks good on ya. Oh, what happened to the back pack? Your sister must have taken it on her bike.

Right click on the screen and hit refresh.

Smooth - I won't use the picture for long, but I have a screenshot program I use at work for creating mockup documents for developers.

I wonder why I don't see your new picture!

How are you doing today?

From Maurine/Tarzan on Fri, Aug 28, 2009 at 15:01:53 from 63.255.172.2

Did you right click on the screen and refresh as I suggested? You must have your browser caching settings a bit different.

I am good. Just ticked at the moment that I have had a meeting scheduled for a week with 5 people only to have the president call the VP into another meeting 5 minutes before mine started.

Counting down the days to my vacation. It has been a long time (since I got back from Italy) since I had a real break from work.

From LuzyLew on Fri, Aug 28, 2009 at 15:04:41 from 208.187.197.42

It's always like that the seconds before vacation. Mayhem and impatience. I sure hope you're going somewhere at least half as exciting as Italy. I feel your counting-down-the-minutes-can't-come-soon-enough-vacation.

From Maurine/Tarzan on Fri, Aug 28, 2009 at 15:23:25 from 63.255.172.2

I'll tell you - after 6 months of working 6-7 days a week 10-14 hours a day, it is nice finally having some of the stress off of me.

My sister and I are flying into Portland, Oregon on Thursday and hitting a bookstore there, then heading over to the coast to Astoria to a lighthouse museum and the best clam chowder we have ever had. After that, we will drive up the coast and see some more lighthouses and end the day in Olypmia.

My oldest brother has made arrangements so we can stay with him in the house he is staying in (waiting for a house to sell in Vancouver). Friday and Saturday will include some sightseeing and more lighthouses (and maybe Twilight tours) and my nephew's wedding dinner on Friday night and wedding on Saturday (both my brothers currently live in Olympia).

Sunday, Monday and possible Tuesday will be spent up near Seattle visiting the city and doing the Underground tour, Seattle Mystery Bookstore and other such things.

If you want something even more challenging.. Go farther south to 106th south, turn left and go up to Dimple Dell road and then back down the same way. It will probably give you almost 12-13 miles depending if you stop at the top of the fork or not. That one is definitely not for the faint of heart in this heat.

From Maurine/Tarzan on Fri, Aug 28, 2009 at 15:31:36 from 63.255.172.2

Not before work I don't! LOL

I'll have to give it a try.

I've entertained the thought of running 94th S up to the base of Little Cottonwood Canyon and back. Would those be about the same hilliness levels of fun?

From Ashbaker on Fri, Aug 28, 2009 at 15:38:41 from 76.27.0.45

Tougher actually, especially right past 2300 east 9400 south. That hill can be a beast if push too hard early in the run. It will make you so anaerobic your head will fall to the ground with knees trembling! Sound fun? Good for short bounding hill sprints though.

From Kelli on Fri, Aug 28, 2009 at 16:51:27 from 71.219.64.200

That sounds divine! Enjoy yourself!

From Ashbaker on Fri, Aug 28, 2009 at 17:24:54 from 76.27.0.45

Maurine, Have fun in Vancouver! By the way I used to live just off of Millplain road. I love the Northwest and would go back if I could.
