Epic Fail tonight.  My plan was to run the entire Little Cottonwood Trail.  I know my endurance is up there and I could handle the 3.25 uphills without stopping - but my body apparently did not agree with my mind.  Only made it 1.5 miles up the canyon before I had to walk the rest of the way up.  Between being sick, only getting about 4 hours sleep each of the last 2 nights, and a crappy fat filled dinner with my dad at Marie Callender's - just couldn't find any energy.  Was able to run the entire trail down - but not as fun as some times.  Due to the angle of the sun I was having a hard time picking a line in the rocks and there were too many idiot bikers whipping by without notice.  Walked the Temple Quarry Trail (.3) to cool down.

Teena - I really want to. I've been working out to get tired. Go to sleep at 10. Take something to help me sleep at 11. Consider taking a run at 1:30 - finally fall asleep around 2 and then wake up at 5:30 or 6 - but am too tired to do anything but drag my butt to the office.

Do you need me to come and knock you in the head with a 2 x 4 right now???

From Maurine/Tarzan on Wed, Jul 08, 2009 at 23:30:13 from 97.117.64.141

Yes - please do. And can you do it hard enough to get me out of work tomorrow?

From Teena on Wed, Jul 08, 2009 at 23:31:43 from 67.177.20.13

Oh man ... you are something else Maurine!!!

From Teena on Wed, Jul 08, 2009 at 23:34:05 from 67.177.20.13

Alright Maurine ... I'm off to watch So You Think You Can Dance!!

Try and get some sleep friend. (I know, I know ... you are trying ... so sorry it is giving you so much headache.)

Trying a new sleeping sedative. Took my nyquil tabs and am chasing them down with some seafood from my freezer (found some delicious stuff in a Ben and Jerry's container).

BEnn and Jerry's ,,, mmmmmmm......

Your run/walk/hike was not a failure. You are still recovering from all of your adventures. Give it time baby :)

Teena- be gentle with Maruine- don't knock her too hard :)

Sleep Maurine, sleep! :)

I feel your pain, Maruine. I have sleeping problems, too. Have had them all my life. It's not fun at all. At least you got out and exercised. I didn't do anything today and now I'm dealing with a migraine while I'm at work.

From Kelli on Thu, Jul 09, 2009 at 00:06:25 from 71.219.89.21

Hmmm....sleeping problems here as well, but they did not start until I had kids. Unfortunately, they just keep getting worse. When you find something that works, you will be a rich woman!!!

Try to at least relax with Ben and Jerry! And your run/hike was awesome! That is not an easy trail, and you went up it and down it, the speed is not important!

From Smooth on Thu, Jul 09, 2009 at 00:13:04 from 71.36.83.108

Sorry the tired body and obnoxious cyclists sabotaged your run. It's a success nevertheless 'cause you went and did it.

You like to read. How about reading a very boring book? PM yoga to relax the body and mind? soft music? aroma therapy? Get some ZZZZZs!

From leslie peterson on Thu, Jul 09, 2009 at 08:54:05 from 76.23.61.78

The Cottonwood trail can be crazy at times with the bikers. I agree with everyone, take it easy.

Teena if you need help hitting Maurine over the head, I could hold her down....just trying to be helpful! Trying to survive on no sleep is the WORST!!! Sorry buddy.

From Maurine/Tarzan on Thu, Jul 09, 2009 at 10:04:14 from 63.255.172.2

Well - the good news is I got 8 hours of sleep last night, so feel more rested. Can't quit coughing and gagging from the cold, so I feel like crap - but 'rested' crap.

From Kelli on Thu, Jul 09, 2009 at 10:12:13 from 71.219.89.21

YEAH FOR REST!!!!!!!

From Teena on Thu, Jul 09, 2009 at 10:28:48 from 67.177.20.13

Maurine,

So so so happy you got some rest!!!

Next time Les and I will have at it!!

Love you!

(Get rid of that cold.)
