What a beautiful day outside.  I walked the dog for a while and then ran 6.35 miles.  I still feel like I lost a lot of conditioning in just 1 week - but it is slowly coming back.  And I am still very happy that there was no pain in the IT band today.  I will do 30 minutes of yoga and ice and massage the band next.

Kept a nice easy pace.  I'd rather be slow and let my leg continue to heal.

nice job getting out and getting those miles in!!! I am so stinkin' happy for you that you had no IT pain, lets raise a glass -or a cookie :) to a good recovery!!

Thanks. I'm feeling good about the recovery. Of course, that leads to temptations to overdo things - so I'll probably only do strength training and yoga tomorrow to let myself heal for Saturday.

Nice pace and miles :) You are healing up nicely. Whats the pace target for Sat? I really want to stick to the 12's this time. How are you feeling?

Down in weight again today! Great job!!! Plus you are practically to 30 miles this week. Way to work it!!!

Britta - sorry I missed you while you were in town. I wish it was 30 purely running miles!

Marion - I dunno :). I'm the slowest person and you can see my normal pace up top - so I will probably be around where you want to be.

Maurine, I wish I had a Jeep to drive down here. But what these guys do is plain nuts! Wise move with the leg. Everyone feels sluggish when they take a week off but it comes back quickly if you stay active during recovery.
