1/4 mile warmup with Twilight.

Les came down to run with me. Neither of us had enough energy to do speedwork.  Luckily we headed out into the wind - cuz it was cold out there! One of the signs said 33 degrees - but I think that was wrong. (I just went to weather.com and it says it is 28 out and feels like 18 and that sounds more like it).

5.15 miles with Leslie. 13:20/12:49/13:02/12:39/12:49.  Les overdid it on Monday and I overdid it last night - and I can tell it by our times.

PM - ran another mile with Twilight after work.  That was fun in hiking boots. :)

We've just gotten word that the Ogden Marathon and Half Marathon has completely sold out.  Accommodations for runners who haven't registered yet are out of our hands.  I haven't registered, so I won't be running, but I will be volunteering (all volunteers get into Heaven remember).  If you have questions regarding the Ogden Marathon and the status of a waiting list and such, please call the GOAL Foundation at 399-1773. Maurine that was cold and hard, but I am glad we did it! Thanks, I think if I didn't plan on meeting you, I would have bagged it. I feel great now! Thanks buddy!!!! I have no regrets that we changed our plans! We did awesome!

Did you try the cookies?

From tarzan on Wed, Feb 11, 2009 at 10:04:42

Yeah - I'm glad you came over. It helped to not suffer alone.

Yes, the cookies are great. Thank you! I had one with a fat free hot chocolate and a banana for breakfast.

Sounds like a great breakfast, I am sucking down a big diet coke and had my eggs when we got back. I am bound and determined to have a good day of eating today! I HAVE to drop a pound by tomorrow!!!!

Nice run Maurine!

Glad you and Leslie played it smart and took it easy today.

From Smooth on Wed, Feb 11, 2009 at 17:04:44

GOOD JOB you two brave warriors. Days like today are no good for speedwork whether you're tired or not. Smart to be flexible. Running into the wind counts as double miles, don't you think?

I overdo it regularly and make my legs jell-o. But we get stronger from pushing through the pain after, right?
