Short-Term Running Goals:

After 1/9/2010 - I am taking a year off from marathon length distances and focusing on building up my base speed on half marathons and shorter distances.

2010 Speed Goals:

  • Build up my base speed on training runs to 10 MM miles or better
  • Half Marathon - break 2:05 (9.5 MM avg)
  • 10K Goal 1 - break 1:00 (9.67 MM avg)
  • 10K Goal 2 - break 55 minutes (8.87 MM avg)
  • 5K Goal 1 - break 26.35 minutes
  • 5K Goal 2 - break 25 minutes

Long-Term Running Goals:

Long Term Goals:

  • Complete a 100 Mile race
  • Complete a 100 K race
  • Break 12 hours in a 50 mile race
  • Run all portions of the Wasatch 100 course
  • Break 5 hours in a marathon
  • Break 4.5 hours in a marathon
  • Qualify for and run Boston

Rest day yesterday (if you call packing 'resting').

Tonight I went to the gym and did an hour of chest/shoulders/back/core.  Then - on to the treadmill.

1 mile warmup.

4 x 1/4 mile repeats (6.0, 6.1, 6.2, 6.3 mph) with 1/10 mile rests.

1 mile cooldown.

 

I also went back to Weight Watchers and weighed in tonight (of course, I kind of cheated since I didn't hydrate while running or afterwards) and was down 4.2 lbs from where I was the last time I went in February. I am still 5 pounds above where I would like to be by St. George - but know that my diet was pretty bad since the surgery until yesterday - so am focussing again.

Good workout speedy!

Welcome back to ww! I am curious how long it will take to get 5 lbs. off when you are already fit and lean, it might be tough. We can compare notes and hopefully we will both be where we want to be for St. George! I have 6.8 lbs. to go to reach my goal.

I've been lifetime for about 10 years. I gained some weight 2 years back when going through a divorce and having a daughter get married and move to Italy.

Starting last July I hired a personal trainer and started watching calories and have lost 30 pounds and more than 10% bodyfat.

Alright, I'll let you two off with a warning, but I want to see at least 1/2 of the Good Health Guidelines(p.76 Week one book) done each day. 45 min of activity every day (except 1 rest day) and $5 deposited into my secret bribery account. I also accept Ben and Jerry's or See's candy.
