very consistent! how is everything feeling?

Not bad. Just mad at myself for letting myself get out of shape and struggling my way back in there. Having to alternate running and walking as I work my way back.

I honestly don't think I will be able to get back to serious distance running until I am either only working one job or my full-time job gets down below 55 hours.

I would still like to get back to 6 miles per day and work on getting my speed better while I am in this total chaos mode.

Have you had to drop most of your race plans for the summer?

i know the feeling of a busy work schedule -- but you are doing great. just do whatever you can fit in and stay consistent and you'll get it back. i'm struggling to work my way back too. it's all about having patience (easier said than done) :)

i had to drop des news, which i was extremely bummed about but i am getting over it. there was just too much risk involved. but since i won't be doing that marathon, i have adjusted my plans so that i can get in shape for TOU. i will probably start out with a bunch of 5k's and then run a half marathon or two in late july and early august. TOU is usually my third or fourth marathon of the year, but this year it will be my first. it's shaking my confidence a bit, but who knows, maybe it is for the best.

best of luck to you as you get back into your training. do you have any races coming up? i know you have done park city in the past...

I'm doing the Dirty Girl Run tomorrow at Wheeler Farm and a couple of other mud runs.

I'm debating on the Park City Half as a motivator. No marathons this year - my mind and body were getting burnt out.
